Welcome! Thank you for taking time to stop by.
I have been working in the area of trauma for 19yrs. I have my bachelors in social work from Oral Roberts University and my masters in social work from the University of Kansas. I completed the 2yrs of post graduate supervision for my clinical license. I have done lots of post graduate education and am certified in: CPR, NOVA, CISM, EMDR, TBRI, Motivational Interviewing, and EAGALA. I also have training in play therapy, art-based therapy, Theraplay, DBT, CBT, and mediation. I have completed a cosmetology certificate from Paul Mitchell the School Colorado Springs. I have also attended numerous professional clown training camps and have worked as a professional therapeutic clown in hospitals, nursing homes, and hospice homes. I received national front page press for my work with hospice patients in 2003. I was also recognized in 2001 as an American Hero by the Red Cross for my clinical work with children with developmental disabilities. In 2017, I married Brett and we are happy fur-parents to our dog, Kallie Rose.
My professional experience as a licensed clinical social worker, a licensed cosmetologist, and a professional therapeutic clown, has given me the knowledge and resources to help people recover from trauma in life. I consider myself a trauma therapist. Many of the clients I see have trauma and attachment issues. As an adventurous, fun-loving, creative person who is learning to thrive in this crisis called life, my hearts desire is to live life authentically. I am learning the key to unlocking authenticity is matching my life on the inside and having it show up on the outside. Finding that true peace comes from honestly meeting the real needs of the body, mind and spirit in who God has created me to be. Through self-care, honoring my values, boundaries, and using my support systems, I am finding success in living authentically. My hope is share what I am learning with those who want it.
To authentically journey with people as they gain understanding and freedom to be healthy in their body, mind, and spirit.
Here you will find mercy and grace as someone who understands and identifies with the pain that makes living a battle. It is my desire that you find something that helps you gain relief from your pain. I am the real deal, no mask. I promise to do my best to live authentically, and am available to support you in your process. My fabulous resources will hopefully help and encourage you with your journey! Please let me know how I can support you better.
Blessings to You Today!
