Welcome New Clients
Congratulations on taking the step towards health and wellness. I am honored that you are allowing me to be a part of your healing journey. In our practice, we have a number of services to be able to meet your needs. We use two programs: TherapyNotes is our charting and scheduling program; and Zoom is our online platform that allows you to chat with your therapist in between appointments or do appointments via video. These programs allow us to meet your needs on the platform that is easiest for you.
We encourage you to set up a free Zoom account as soon as you decide to pursue services with us. This is your fastest way to get a personal response from our office. Once you sign up with Zoom, request a new contact to firstname.lastname@example.org. This will connect you directly to Christina so that you can get your questions answered.
The way TherapyNotes works is once we have your email address, we will send you a welcome email to access the patient portal. This portal is what you will use to schedule your appointments with your therapist. Please know it is your responsibility to schedule your own appointments. If you need assistance, please let us know.
If you have questions before your appt, please use the chat feature in your zoom account and we will answer them as fast as we are able to. You can also email with your questions.
Here are some common questions we get:
Question: Do you take insurance?
Answer: Where as we are "in network" preferred providers for a number of insurances, we DO NOT bill any insurance directly, except Medicaid. You will be asked to pay in full at the time of the session, and we will provide you with a billing receipt once a month that you can submit to your insurance in order to get reimbursed at the rate of your insurance plan. If you have Medicaid, Please let us know so we can talk to you about how that process works. (We currently have a waiting list for Medicaid clients.)
Question: My child has a lot of behavioral issues and has been to other counselors who have not been successful in helping us. How are you different? Are you going to be able to help us?
Answer: Yes, I can help you. I have many years of experience working with trauma and attachment issues. My approach is different in that I help the parents to learn how to do therapeutic parenting at the same time I'm teaching the child or teen how to be in control of their brain and behaviors. I have had many families who thought their household would never see peace, get to a place of successful living with peace! Having non-reactive people in the house IS possible. Let me show you how!
Our internship program has 3 open spots each semester. In order to be considered, you must complete a background check, application, and interview. Please contact to request an intern info sheet or to start the application process.
